Steps to meeting with an academic success advisor:
• Complete the Academic Success Plan.
• Call the CLAS Academic Services Center at 860-486-2822 to schedule an appointment to discuss your ASP with an academic success advisor. Your academic success advisor is an advisor in the Academic Services Center (not your assigned academic advisor).
• Schedule an appointment with an academic success advisor on a date after the first day of classes next semester. We begin meeting with students at the beginning of each term so that we can discuss your current course enrollment and discuss resources and strategies that will allow you the opportunity to meet your best potential.
• Before calling, know your schedule so that you find a time to meet outside of class time.
An Academic Standing Hold (ASH) hold will be placed on your record after the 10th day of classes that will impede you from registering for future terms. This hold will be removed after you have your Academic Success meeting. Your Academic Success Plan (ASP) must be completed prior your scheduled meeting time. If you have not completed the ASP, you will be asked to reschedule.
